New Solution
New Solution is the title of the project involving the study of the chemical and atomic properties of sulphates using two-dimensional surfaces. The compositions arise as a response to the effect the material exerts on a board. Light blue, green or violet sulphates are spread on paper applied on an aluminium or Plexiglas support. The change of state from liquid to solid forces the crystal to recompose itself at the atomic level in order to recreate its basic structure once the water has evaporated. The support absorbing the compound triggers a struggle of forces between the paper and the sulphate atoms used, which try to recompose themselves into ordered structures. This tension gives rise to these aestheticising works that express the strength of matter.
