Luca Petti

Luca Petti (b. 1990, Benevento, Italy) lives and works in Milan. Working primarily in sculpture and installation, he imagines hybrid organisms that intertwine animal and vegetal elements — a condition of interspecies endosymbiosis staged through rigorous, science-museum-like displays. His research addresses the Anthropocene: ecosystems altered by human action, and the unexpected evolutionary paths that follow it. Solo exhibitions include Careof, Milan (2022) and the Museum of Natural History, Verona (2022). He took part in the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale (Lithuanian Pavilion, 2018), and his permanent works are held at Arte Sella, Trento, and MAAM, Rome. He teaches Sculpture Techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona and Foundry at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
