A Refuge in Case of Tropical Storms is a project realised on the occasion of Outer Space, modulated as an “environmental” intervention. The project work on the possible analogies of an interior or ambiguous landscape, proposed as a temporary architecture, built on many of the material contributions from scientific research applied to current lifestyles. At the same time, it is a place waiting for activations and relations with the public, which find itself in a rarefied environment of axioms grafted onto aesthetic life, contemporary naturalism and geographical manipulation. In a way, it is a solution of continuity to all this.

A Refuge in Case of Tropical Storms is therefore an abode of safety, a place exhaustive and abstracted from natural, tropical and/or rural landscapes, as they had now been translocated into interior spaces, threatened by the extractive consequences of “material” from outside. The mere crossing of A Refuge in Case of Tropical Storms, in fact, take us to South America using the corridor of the interior space and manifest itself to the audience as if we were leafing through a holiday album, or a tour-operator’s brochure.
